Homeschool Nature Study Course

Habitats - The Diverse Needs of Animals

Grades K-2* Animals and Their Homes

An exploration of animals and where they live. Observation and interaction will take place in the Nature Center and in various places on camp.

*Students must be at least age 5 by August 15 to participate in this course.

Grades 3-5 Healthy Habitats

An exploration and comparison of what makes a healthy habitat.

Dates & Times

Tuesdays – September 9th, November 11th, January 13th, and March 10th

9:30am-2:00pm

Cost

The total cost for the four sessions is $28.00 per student.

There is a $80 maximum payment per family.

Registration begins August 1, 2008 and end September 1, 2008. This registration form and all fees must be received by Camp Friedenswald before students are considered registered.

Refund Policy: Half of the registration fee is refundable if there is cancellation before to September 9, 2008. There will be no refunds after September 9, 2008.

Standards:Camp Friedenswald requires a minimum of 10 students and maximum of 15 students per group.

Parents will provide 2 adults per elementary (K-2) group to assist the students with learning activities.

Parents are not required to be present during course instruction time, but assistance is appreciated.

Dates: May 20th-21st 2010
Cost: $36 per student, parents stay free (normal cost $54)

As registration are received learning groups will be formed for participants. They will be based on time of registration only. Minimum: 15 students. Classes in include: Archery, Canoeing, Owl Pellets, The Rock, Three R's and It's a Small World.
