- Warren Dunes State Park / Sawyer, MI: (50 miles southwest) Warren Dunes State Parkprovides 1,950 acres of recreational opportunities along the beautiful shore of Lake Michigan in southwestern Michigan. The rugged dune formation rises 240 feet above the lake and offers spectacular views and excellent Hang Gliding. The park has 21/2 miles of shoreline, 6 miles of hiking trails and is open year-round.
- Dr. Lawless State Park / Near Vandalia, MI: (5 miles north) This year-round, beautiful 640-acre park is for nature lovers. Its wide trails and outstanding plant and animal life make it a natural outdoor learning center. Picnic, pavilion, group camping, winter sports, including cross country skiing and limited snowmobiling. Great mountain bike trails. Rustic restrooms.

- Shipshewana Flee Market/ Shipshewana, IN: (30 miles southeast) The midwest's largest outdoor flea market, with just over 1000 booths, takes place every Tuesday and Wednesday, opening the first of May and closing at the end of October each year. There are also auctions at this same location year round; the antiques and miscellaneous auctions, usually with one going on in each corner of the auction building all at once.
