Primary Camp (grades 1-2) A great way to introduce young children to the wonders of God, camp, and nature; in a safe, caring environment. (Our counselors go through training specifically focused on working with this age group at camp.) Only runs three days to facilitate children who may be away from parents for the first time. Children stay in cabins with counselors Monday and Tuesday nights. Includes all the regular camp activities (worship, evening campfires, outpost camping, swamp hikes, crafts, water front activities on Lake Shavehead, great food, friendship, cabin activities, time out in nature, recreation and games).
Ends with a special parent/child lunch on Wednesday at 5:30 pm to which parents are invited and encouraged to attend. This provides a way to celebrate camper’s first time at camp and allows children a chance to show parents around camp and share their experiences.
