Frequently Asked Questions about Combining High School, Music and Nature Camps on the week of June13-18.
Q: Why are High School, Nature Adventure camp and Music camp all happening in the same week?
A: These Camps are being combined for a number of reasons.
- We are seeking to find the best combination of programs and dates for the most people.
-We have received feedback that high school camp begins before some schools are out of school (primarily in Michigan)
-Attendance in camps have gone down in the past couple of years and this allows us to use our space and resources most efficiently.
-It allows more people to be at camp which makes for a better camp environment
Q: How will this work to have all these camps happen the same week?
A: Each camp will basically retain its regular schedule. However, High School camp and Sr. High Music camp will share much of their schedule and Jr. Music Camp and Nature Adventure Camp will do likewise. While those campers in Sr. High Music camp would have rehearsal throughout the day, High School Campers would be participating in other camp activities. They would share common quest and campfire worship times, meals, open beach, recreation time, free time, and all other times besides the rehearsal blocks. Nature Adventure Camp and Jr. Music camp then would have a similiar arrangement in which they would share a similiar schedule besides when Music camp would be having rehearsals and Nature Adventure Camp would be participating in Nature focused activities. This also provides each camper with a wider spectrum of people to get to know during their time at camp.
Q. Will High School Camp and Sr. High Music camp still have a day at the dunes?
A. Yes
Q. Will this week be one of the best of my life if I come?
