We welcome...
Individuals as well as groups up to 260 people, consisting of churches, families, youth groups, conferences, banquets, businesses, and corporations year-round.
Who Uses Camp?
- Participants in planned programs - Nearly 1500 people participate in a variety of program retreats each year, including events for youth, young adults, families and senior citizens.
- Participants in the Outdoor Education program - We served nearly 40 public or private schools in 2003, offering nature instruction for 2nd - 6th graders.
- Families, schools, churches and other organizations who utilize the Retreat Centers and Main Camp - nearly 8,000 individuals use Camp Friedenswald facilities yearly as part of a rental group.
How do we do it?
- Prayer, financial support and volunteer support from the Central District Conference.
- Over 300 volunteers, assisting in special work projects and helping in a variety of areas.
- Seven full-time salaried positions, five part-time positions and hundreds of volunteers make up the current staff.
- Up to 30 college students and others are hired as summer staff to assist with the Summer Program.
- 16% of the operating budget is made up of church and individual contributions.
- Members of the Builders Organization provide financial and volunteer support for capital projects and improvements.
