Many people have given of their time, talents and energy over the 50+ years of ministry of Camp Friedenswald.  We ask that you consider giving your time for a day, a week, several weeks, or several months.  We encourage individuals, couples, families with children(any & all ages), and groups(Sunday school classes, youth groups...etc) to come and volunteer.  Lodging and meals are provided!

Following is a list of areas where you are needed.  The areas are generally listed under Program/Operational areas.  Be sure to give us your name, address and phone number at the bottom.

Kitchen/Dishwashing (Under the guidance of the Food Service Director)
Dishes - As the name implies you would help with the dishwashing duties, including using our large dishwasher. 
Kitchen - You may be involved in the full range food preparation duties.

Office (Under the guidance of the Executive Director or other staff)
General Office - This would depend on your office skills but could include helping with mailings, database entry/cleanup, answering the phone, etc.
Computer Troubleshooting - Depending on your skills this could include network troubleshooting or general computer maintenance.

Maintenance (Under the guidance of the Maintenance Director)
Construction (Requires specific training/expertise) - Your expertise may be needed for a specific building project or a specific repair projects involving construction skills.
Electrical (Requires specific training/expertise) - Depending on your skill level, this could involve changing an electrical socket, changing a light fixture, adding a new light fixture, stringing electrical wire, etc.
General Grounds - You would be involved with lawn mowing, brush clearing, , etc.
General Maintenance -  Your jobs may include painting, changing light bulbs, etc.
Landscaping -  You would be involved in creating and maintaining landscaped areas.  This could also include sowing grass seed, but not mowing.
Misc. Repairs - These would be based on your specific skills.  Examples would be drywall repair, fixing a lawnmower, etc.
Plumbing/Heating - This may involve heating maintenance, installing new plumbing or plumbing repair.  Based on expertise you may be needed to replace heating units.
Woodworking - This may involve repairing furniture, building shelves, etc.

Program & Outdoor Learning (Under the Guidance of the Program Director and/or Outdoor Learning Director)
Camp Pastors (per week) - Come to camp for a 1 week sabbatical.  As the key person on the worship team your primary role would be the spiritual development of the summer campers and working with staff to share the Good News.
Crafts - You would work with campers on craft projects.
Music (individuals or groups) - Come to Friedenswald to share your gift of music.  
Nurse/Medical - You would be the on site nurse for summer youth camps.
Photography - This may include taking pictures with a film or digital camera of specific camp activities or taking pictures for a brochure, etc.
Trail Maintenance - Work outdoors maintaining Friedenswald's many trails.  Experience with a chain saw and brush cutter helpful.
Worship/Singing - You would provide worship and/or singing leadership for specific camps.

Housekeeping (Under the guidance of the Housekeeping Coordinator)
Housekeeping - Involves cleaning guest rooms after retreats as well as cleaning the dining hall.
Other - Whatever is not listed above.
